Greetings and welcome to my homepage.
I am an assistent professor at the Department of Philosophy at the University of Konstanz. I work at the chair of ethics and moral philosophy with Jacob Rosenthal.
My work centers on foundational questions in moral philosophy at the intersection between metaethics, normative ethics, philosophical anthropology, and the history of moral philosophy. In recent years, I have been working on my habilitation project on the Subject Matter of Morality. Lately, I’ve also developed a strong interest in (neo)pragmatism, exploring both its historical roots (in figures like Hegel, Peirce, and Wittgenstein) and its current prospects.
These days, I think a lot about human social practices, the nature of moral normativity, the meaning of moral language, the gap between humans and other animals, and inferentialism. I just submitted my habilitation thesis, and so I am back to writing papers and, well, securing my academic future.
Here’s a link to my philpeople page.
